ENFJ is adept at processing others’ emotions and creating harmony in social settings they may struggle to analyze their own thoughts in a rational way, and tend to be overthinkers. The ENFJ’s inferior function (Ti) may only be noticed when they are under stress or in the problems they deal with often, especially considering the inferior function is often the opposite of the dominant function. That said, they may not be inclined to truly break outside their comfort zone with extreme sports or dangerous destinations. They are also usually comfortable in the physical world, probably enjoy working out and traveling, and value being seen as a stylish and trendy person (Se). But they are also wise, highly planed, and constantly working toward a higher goal (auxiliary Ni). That's unsurprising given it’s the characteristic element of their personality (dominant Fe). ENFJ: Fe > Ni > Se > TiĮNFJ is warm, empathetic and inviting, able to make friends with just about anyone. To do this, we consider the four cognitive functions that correspond to the respective personality type in order to get a deeper understanding. Say we’re analyzing the ENFJ’s personality. To take a closer look, let’s break down what this means for just one of the types. Let’s look at the types and their functions. The fourth function is your inferior function, which is challenging to access and often only comes out under stress. The third function is the tertiary function, which may be slightly under-developed, but does start to manifest in your type more prominently as you age. The second function is called the auxiliary function, which assists the dominant function in conveying ideas and is also relatively strong in your personality. The first function in the stack is called the dominant function, the strongest one you use so often, you may not even realize you are doing it. Each type has four functions, ordered in a stack from strongest to weakest. Now that we're clear about the eight MBTI functions, we can better understand how they correspond to each of the 16 Myers-Briggs personality types. Understanding the MBTI functions as the 16 types There are eight total MBTI cognitive functions let’s break down what makes up each below. These eight functions are critical to understanding how you operate in the world, and are worth knowing as a tool to help you delve deeper into how you and anyone else ticks. Using descriptions of the MBTI cognitive functions is also how I’ve learned to get a sense of people in real life, without them needing to take the personality test first. Psychologist Carl Jung (essentially the father of typology) talked a lot about the cognitive functions, which Katherine Cook Briggs and Isabel Briggs Myers then utilized to create the MBTI system we use today. Did you know you also have four key MBTI functions that correspond to your type? But these traits only tell part of the story. When most people hear "Myers-Briggs," they think of the personality test, and the four letters associated with their resulting personality type: introverted (I) or extroverted (E), intuitive (N) or sensing (S), thinking (T) or feeling (F), and judging (J) or perceiving (P).

A more sophisticted collision algorithm, or even the new DOTS physics, could have been used, but this is meant to be a simple example and really isn't necessary. In this system general radius is used to calculate if bullets have collided with enemies or enemies with players. As such, collision is handled by a system (CollisionSystem) and is very simplistic in nature. Since the bullets and enemies are entities and the player is a game object, making them collide with the built in physics system won't work. When enemies die, they spawn particle effects (game objects). There is an Enemy Spawner (game object) that spawns enemies (entities). In this case, the player (game objets) spawns bullets (entity). This project uses a combination of game objects and entities together. A video presentation of this project can be seen here The basics This is meant to provide a simple, targeted example. I'm also sure it's probably not the best or cleanest way to do this but it's something that could be changed if needed. The DOTS project used for the presentation Converting Your Game to DOTS and contains an example of how DOTS could be used to replace a low performance process in your games (shooting many bullets at once, in this case). To help any other new recruits to Playfab that may need a pointer as to how the Playfab API calls work - here is the C sharp code we used for calling the 'Purchase request' in an OnMouseDown function (a script attached to a 3D game object in Unity - i.e: A purchase button).Īpologies to those who already know this - I'm just trying to help out those, like myself, who needed just the slightest pointer to 'connect the dots' as to how PlayFab API calls work. There are some good, clean examples of the API functions available especially in the Union demo. It's worth mentioning to any others who come to PlayFab from Unity that the C sharp code downloadable in the Union example game (see Brendans link) is a good cross reference/companion to the C sharp code that comes with the Playful Angry Bots demo. Having checked out the resource you've mentioned I found exactly what we needed. Many thanks Brendan for your swift response via Email and forum. Before posting, make sure to check out our Knowledge Base for commonly asked Unity questions. My understanding of Playfabs API is progressing very slowly.Ĭould anyone please help us with the steps involved, what needs to happen for our desired scenario to occur, and a pointer as to what code might achieve this? Using an OnMouseDown event on a game object/button to achieve this. (In the Angry Bots prefab scripts the catalogue is pulled in its entirety from the PlayFab server and then set up using arrays/lists - we only have a few purchasable items in game and would like to deal with them individually, not as part of an array. We are aiming for a simpler integration of Playfab into our game where a purchase request is made with a simple OnMouseDown() event on a single 'plane' game object that represents a 'single product purchase button'. I am picking apart the script found in the Angry Bots Playfab prefabs (as shown in the tutorials) but am finding them overly complex for our needs. Started a topic on Tue, 14 July 2015 at 5:46 AM The emergency use of shelters is also problematic as crowding within a closed indoor space is set-up for COVID-19 transmission and is not a substitute for housing ( Tobolowsky et al., 2020). The use of drugs among those who are unhoused is high, as chronic alcohol and drug use is tightly intertwined with homelessness ( Doran et al., 2018). Some see this as an opportunity to deal with two crises at once by opening up unoccupied hotel rooms ( Osman, 2020). The need to address the homeless crisis has received a lot of media attention during the COVID-19 response ( Fuller, 2020 Picard, 2020). Scenes of tented encampments, emergency shelters, and people sleeping on the streets is one of the greatest challenges facing cities across North America. The actual environment that many people live in is not conducive to physical distancing. The impact of COVID-19 is expected to be severe in communities where illegal drug use is common due to the convergence of multiple factors ( Volkow, 2020). One group who are especially at risk are people who use drugs (PWUD). This has played out directly with high death rates from COVID-19 infection, as well as indirectly through the interventions set up to control the spread. COVID-19 has shown that pre-existing health and social inequality create huge vulnerabilities in certain communities ( Abedi, Olulana, & Avula, 2020 Dorn, Cooney, & Sabin, 2020). Like other natural disasters the people who suffer the most are those who are least able to protect themselves. Modeling suggests that this has been an effective strategy with regards to reducing COVID-19 transmission ( Kent, 2020), although the unintended social and economic consequences are massive and are still playing out ( UNDP, 2020 Van Lancker & Parolin, 2020). This has resulted in many communities locking down – people staying at home, businesses shutting down, schools closing, and social gatherings canceled. Without effective treatments or a vaccine, the primary approach to limiting the transmission of COVID-19 has been to reduce person-to-person contact. The average price of an Hermès Birkin bag is $10,000 – but some have been known to sell for as much as $300,000 at auction! This attention to detail ensures that every Hermes product lives up to the high standards set by the brand, making it truly unique and special. Once the piece is completed, it undergoes a rigorous quality control process before being shipped off to its final destination – whether that be a store or directly to the customer. The artisans use traditional techniques that have been passed down through generations, ensuring that each piece meets Hermes’ exacting standards. Every detail is carefully considered, and no detail is too small to escape their notice. At the workshop, a team of highly skilled artisans begins working on each piece by hand. Once the materials have been procured, they are then sent to Hermes’ workshop in France. Hermes only uses the finest leathers and fabrics, which are sourced from all over the world. The first step in the process is sourcing the materials. For example, each Hermès scarf is handmade using silk screens and takes several months to complete. Hermès is one of the few companies remaining that still uses traditional methods to create its products. All of its products are still handmade in France by skilled artisans using traditional techniques that have been passed down through generations. While many luxury brands have outsourced production to cheaper markets overseas, Hermès has always maintained strict control over its manufacturing process. This paved the way for other Western brands to enter the Japanese market and helped establish Hermès as a major player on the global stage. In 1949, Hermes became the first Western luxury brand to open a shop within a Japanese department store. The global expansion of Hermès is thanks in part to its strong partnership with the Japanese department store Mitsukoshi. Today, there are Hermès boutiques in more than 50 countries around the world. In the late 19th century, Hermès expanded its reach even further by opening stores in London, Moscow, New York, and Buenos Aires. From the very beginning, Hermès was an international brand, attracting customers from all over Europe. You can find Hermès products in over 140 countries around the globe. Dumas took her suggestion and created what has become one of the most coveted bags in the world. Birkin approached Hermès CEO Jean-Louis Dumas on a flight from Paris to London in 1981 with the idea for a new type of handbag that would be both functional and stylish. The iconic Hermès Birkin bag is named after actress Jane Birkin. Here are four little-known facts about Hermes: Let’s take a more in-depth look at what has made Hermes great and how they’ve maintained that greatness through today. Hermes has a long history of creating beautiful and timeless designs, which has made it one of the most sought-after brands in the world. It is known for its quality craftsmanship and use of luxury materials, as well as its iconic handbags, such as the Birkin bag. Hermes is a French high fashion house that was established in 1837 by Thierry Hermes. It retains its place at the cutting edge of DAW technology. While some of the changes in Live 11 might require a little getting used to for veterans, Ableton has again managed to enhance the software's capabilities without adding bloat to its famously streamlined workflow. Further updates have added native support for Apple's M1 and M2 Macs and AUv3 plugin compatibility, so you can now run certain iOS synths and effects within Live, too. There are new devices, too, along with updates for existing ones. The long-awaited Live 11 takes things to the next level, adding much-requested features such as an elegant comping system and support for MPE. Since then, it's exploded in popularity and influenced the development of countless other desktop and mobile apps. When the first version was released in 2001 it threw out the traditional design rulebook and established itself not just as a recording program for composers, but also as a performance instrument in itself. It's hard to overstate the impact that Live has had on the music software marketplace. Plugin delay compensation is still an issue for a few of the effects In truth, any one of these products will enable you to make music - and we're not saying that any one is definitively better than all the others - but they’re all slightly different in the way that they operate, so it’s worth taking the time to consider your options carefully and try our demo versions wherever possible. To help you find that DAW, we’ve put together a guide to what we consider to be the best Digital Audio Workstations on the market today. Put simply, the best DAW for you is the one that makes it easiest for you to make music, and inspires you to keep creating. Yes, you’ll likely have a MIDI keyboard, audio interface, set of studio monitor speakers and possibly a microphone or two in your home recording setup as well, but your music production software sits at the centre of everything, and if it's not working for you, your level of creativity is likely to be compromised.Īs such, it’s important to get a DAW that you’re happy with - and, perhaps even more importantly, a digital audio workstation that will enable you to turn your ideas into music as quickly and painlessly as possible. That gives them a little more control as they're not forced to follow fixed rules 100% of the time, but you get a notification if they carry on, so you can ask them to explain later.Īlternatively, you can opt to collect stats only. But Safe Kids also supports another 'Warn' option, where the app tells your child it's bedtime, but allows them to decide what to do. You can treat these limits as absolute, and block the device if they're breached. Safe Kids makes it easy to set an overall screen time limit for individual days of the week, and Safe Kids Premium enables scheduling specific times when device use is allowed. Boomerang adds an extra option enabling apps to be run at certain times of the day, for instance ('you can only play that game in the evenings'), a neat extra touch. Overall, all of this is very easy to use and works as advertised, but other apps can be just a little more flexible. It's a very useful feature, but hiding it away in the Exclusions list means parents may not even realize the option is there unless they go exploring. This also provides an option to limit app use by time, for example to make sure your kids only get to play a particular game for 30 minutes a day. If that doesn't quite deliver the results you need, you can allow or block specific apps via an Exclusions list. (Note: there is no 'Warn' option here, just 'Blocked' or 'Allowed'.) You might not agree with those restrictions, so Safe Kids also supports blocking apps by categories like Communications, Email, File Sharing, Games, Online Shopping, Social Networking and more. Safe Kids applies Google Play and App Store age restrictions by default, blocking apps which your child is (officially) too young to access. Kaspersky's app controls aren't as versatile as its web content filtering, but they do a fair job of covering the basics. When your child tries to access a site in that category, they see a warning that it's not recommended, but it's up to them to decide what to do. Safe Kids doesn't just support allowing or blocking site types, though: unusually, you can also set a category to 'Warn'. You're able to restrict websites by category (Adult, Violence, Drugs, and more). (Keeping your kids away from particular types of site is welcome, but if they're repeatedly trying to find that content, that might also be worth knowing about.) Safe Kids Premium adds the option to send an alert if your kids are actively searching for restricted content, a very handy extra. This starts with enforced safe search on Bing, Google, Yahoo, Yandex (unusually – but Kaspersky is a Russian firm, as is this search engine) and YouTube, reducing the chance that your kids will find inappropriate content. Kaspersky's web content filtering uses a well-judged mix of approaches to keep your child away from dubious sites. (Image credit: Kaspersky) Content filtering You're also able to configure Safe Kids from Kaspersky's web dashboard, allowing you to tweak settings from any device, and perhaps get a better view of Safe Kids' detailed reports by browsing them on a higher resolution laptop screen. If you're just getting started then you'll bypass all that and head to the Settings page, where you can set per-child rules for internet access, app management, device usage and location tracking. Their location is displayed at the top (if you're using Safe Kids Premium), with any recent requests underneath ('can I use this app?', 'can I access this website?'), and any recent internet or app-related alerts. Kaspersky Safe Kids' Parent Mode opens with a summary page for one child. Installation is mostly about approving all the permissions Safe Kids needs (nothing unexpected: access location, manage phone calls, run as a device administrator), choosing whether this is the parent's or child's system, and creating a PIN which prevents others from changing app settings. Safe Kids' setup works much like any other parental control app, maybe apart from the fact that you don't have to pay to try it out. I’m not sure how much an impact this really has on the charts - I guess it depends on the pop star and the number of fans involved - but it’s frustrating to see an artist top 5 on iTunes sales but hurt on the charts because s/he isn’t the kind of artist who necessarily gets a lot of streams. Teen pop fans set up Spotify playlists where they leave their computers on to run through hours of the same song to boost streaming numbers. The rationale seems to be to accommodate how people consume music now, but streaming emphasizes particular audiences/genres. I haven’t been able to locate any hard and fast policies. But, I haven’t been able to find anything official on it - that’s from, for example, the Spotify forums. I did some digging and it looks like 30 seconds is what it takes on Spotify (and the same for a YouTube stream, which also counts for Billboard charts in the US). This is a really good question and one I’ve been curious about myself. It’s not Chris Stapleton that has to worry about relevancy, it’s country radio. Though as Stapleton’s sales continue to prove, it may not matter. Barring a miracle, it’s not likely to crack the Top 20. The song fell from #39 to #44 on the airplay charts this week, and continues to lose spins. This is all occurring while Stapleton’s current single from the record, “Either Way,” is struggling mightily at country radio. And speaking to the staying power of Chris Stapleton and his music, From A Room was the #1 record in country last week, is the #2 record in country this week, while Traveller is at #4 on the album charts. Stapleton’s debut album Traveller has now sold 1.9 million copies as of May, and saw a large boost in sales itself when From A Room: Vol 1. In February of 2016, the RIAA announced that 1,500 on-demand audio and/or video song streams = 10 track sales = 1 album sale. However the RIAA, just like Billboard and other chart publishers, has begun to factor in streaming data into their certifications, evening the playing field for single-based superstars, and still Stapleton beat the others to Gold. Older country artists, more traditional country artists, and independent artists continue to perform well in album sales from the greater likelihood of their fans to purchase physical copies or download records to support their favorite artists as opposed to just streaming the latest single on Spotify or elsewhere. Though From A Room and Stapleton himself have yet to have a bona fide hit on country radio, the reception for his music continues to set the pace when it comes to album sales and overall public reception. The certification was awarded to the album on June 8th, only a month after the release date. 1 has officially shipped a sum total of 500,000 units and streaming-equivalent credits to become the first country album in all of 2017 so far to officially go Gold according to the RIAA.
